After the first surgery (ICL surgery under general anesthesia), my outlook on life was significantly different. Only a slight visual impairment, in the form of astigmatism, remained, allowing me to go about my daily life with almost complete clarity. I could hardly believe it; the very next day, I barely felt any of the surgery the day before—and I felt no pain either.
The second procedure, the laser surgery, was performed under local anesthesia. The explanations given during the procedure made everything very understandable and eased my anxiety. After the surgery, my eyes were very sensitive and irritated. I simply went to bed very early that day. The next day, it was as if almost nothing had happened and I could see everything clearly. At the follow-up examination, my readings were already at 0 diopters and my vision was at 125%, which I never achieved even with glasses. I was so speechless and happy.
All in all, I can only say positive things about the surgery, the team, and the new attitude to life.
With this article, I would like to encourage anyone who may still be doubtful or too afraid of surgery. The DOmed team will dispel any doubts, and the care and support leaves nothing to be desired. Here, the patient is our top priority.
I thank Dr. Asani, Mr. Driesen, and the entire DOmed team from the bottom of my heart for fulfilling my greatest wish. Even a few weeks after the procedures, I still find myself touching my nose and trying to adjust my glasses, only to feel that there's simply nothing there anymore. I smile and rejoice every time anew at this completely new outlook on life.
