In order to be able to keep out clinic open during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the following regulations apply in our practices:
- The current office hours are updated daily on our website.
- You can keep existing appointments that we have agreed upon.
All surgery appointments can be kept. With us, these have always taken place exclusively in certified, so-called clean rooms and with the highest degree of sterility.
- Initial consultations for “A life without glasses” only via video consultation hours. We continue to offer you initial consultations, but only in digital form. After making an appointment, you will receive a link to the video conference.
The following rules of conduct also apply in our practices:
- All patients who have noticed signs of a Corona / COVID-19 infection in themselves or in their immediate environment, please do not enter our clinics! Please contact us by phone.
- It is mandatory to wear a mask in all rooms!
- Please wash your hands thoroughly with soap as soon as you enter our practice.
- No companion in the waiting room.
After your registration, we ask your companion to wait in front of or near the clinic. We will contact the person accompanying you as soon as you can be picked up. - We ask you to refrain from shaking hands as a greeting.
- Please keep the necessary distance from our staff and other patients.

Dr. Minir Asani completed his training as an eye specialist in numerous countries, among other things including the former Yugoslavia, Germany and the USA. Today, the eye specialist can draw upon more than 20 years of experience in the areas of ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. In 2000, he become resident in Lünen, where he took over an already existing ophthalmology practice. And it was also in Lünen that he established the first eye laser centre in the district of Unna. Dr. Asani’s specialisms among other things include cataract surgery, refractive surgery(i.e. primarily LASIK method, implantation of multifocal lenses, toric lenses, etc.) and dry eye treatment.
Dr. Asani is a co-founder and managing partner of the DOmed eye clinics and surgical centres in Dortmund and Lünen.
Today, he practices in the DOmed eye centre Lünen, the DOmed eye clinic Westfalen and the DOmed dry eye center.

In 1999-2005 graduated with high results at University of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr.T. Popa, Romania.
In 2005/10 has finished the residency training in the department of ophthalmology at the Hospital of Neurosurgery in Oblu and graduated with the title: M. D. in Oftalmology.

In 2008-2009 diagnosis, treatment, intensive surgical training in Pediatric Oftalmology and Strabismus
01.01.2010-01.06.2010 cooperates on retinal diseases, especially for laser treatment of DIABETIC RETINOPATY and vitreoretinal surgery with dr. by N. by Ianopol.

Graduated in 2000-2006 with high results at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Padova (Italy) defending thesis:“Long-term (in 24 months) results of combined IVT-PDT treatment of age-related macular degeneration”, later published in 2007.
After successfully passing the state examination, she was registered in the Order of Doctors of Padova (no. 10742).
2007-2012 completed residency training in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Padova, where she graduated with the title:“M.D. in Oftalmology”defending thesis: “Retinal hemangioma in von Hippel Lindau’s disease: the link between genetic mutations of clinical phenotypes (analysis of 189 patients) which is in the process of publication”.
